Sur-Siz Cut to Length - SM6 A medical device company was looking to cut their test strips into 3mm, 4mm, or 5mm lengths. They loaded the SM-6 Sur-Size cut-to-length unit with either strips or a continuous roll of material.
From the color touch screen, the operator entered in the length and number of pieces to be cut. Precision ground urethane drive rollers precisely fed the material to length and then the knife assembly cut it to size. To eliminate adhesive build up on the blades, priority coats were applied, greatly reducing adhesive build up on the blades. A static eliminator has been supplied to reduce the static charge, causing the cut pieces to cling to the unit.
