Requirements:

This application required dispensing desiccant pouches in roll form.

Material: Roll of desiccant pouches.

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a pouch dispenser with an unwind assembly and pneumatic high consistency escapement, mounted on an adjustable equipment stand.

  • The roll of material is placed on a motorized unwind.
  • From the unwind, the material is guided into traction belts.
  • Traction belts will firmly and securely hold the material.
  • With the material placed in the belts, the unit can then be primed and the material automatically self-feeds to the proper starting position.
  • An optic system built into the knife cartridge detects a seal between the pouches and signals the unit to cycle.
  • Once the material is indexed to the proper location, the knife cartridge cuts the material.
  • The location of the cut can be set using the touch screen.
  • The material falls down an exit chute and past a product verification sensor.
  • The cycle can be triggered by a sensor or a dry contact from another piece of equipment.
  • The escapement will have a trap door to ensure material is placed correctly.
  • A sensor monitors the process to ensure desiccant is in position and drops before next cycle is actuated.
  • The unit is PLC controlled with a color touch screen for easy setup and operation.
  • The unit requires 110vac – 220vac 50/60 hz.
