Requirements:

This application required unwinding rolls of rubber material and slitting the material into narrow strips to be rewound into rolls.

Material: Rolls of rubber gasket material (7.5” wide)

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a custom solution for unwinding, slitting and rewinding narrow materials. Rolls of 7.5” wide material will be slit down to three 2” wide rolls with a trimmed edge.

  • Rolls of material are loaded on an unwind with a cantilevered design for quick and easy loading.
  • Flange can be removed and locked in place without tools.
  • The unit comes with an on/off switch in addition to a three-position toggle switch for easy operation.
  • The unwind station has a variable speed motor and control panel.
  • The dancer arm controls speed and tension of the material web.
  • Material is then pulled into the slitter station.
  • Crush cut slitters precisely slit the material and provide 3 final rolls of material.
  • Material is then rewound on a dual differential shaft and will allow for multiple rolls of material to be rewound.
  • Station also has driven rollers to help control speed and allow for better tension control.
  • All components are mounted on a common aluminum frame.
  • Unit requires 110VAC 50-60Hz and 2.75-6 bar[40-90PSI].
