Requirements:

This application required precisely cutting, dispensing and packaging test strip material into a bottle that can be manually fed by the operator.

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured an all electric cut-to-length assembly per customer specifications that can precisely cut, dispense and package test strip material into bottles that is manually fed by the operator.

Material:

  • 14” Ammonia test strip cards
  • Material width: 70mm [2.75”]
  • Material thickness: Less than 3mm

 

  • Individual sheets of material are manually loaded into the material guides.
  • Side guides can be manually adjusted to fit the width of the material.
  • A set of high precision ground urethane rollers pulls the material into the knife assembly.
  • A leading-edge sensor will sense a register mark on the material and signal the unit to cycle.
  • A trailing edge sensor will reject the material in reverse when it senses the end of the strip.
  • The knife cuts material into precise pieces.
  • Cut pieces fall down the shortened strip feed slide and into a bottle.
  • Bottle holder can manually be adjusted to align with the out-feed slide opening.
  • Optional material flow package allows material to freely slide down the out-feed slide while eliminating static buildup.
  • Knife assembly and out-feed slide are contained in clear safety guarding.
  • Leading and trailing edge sensor positions are digitally displayed.
  • The unit has a touchscreen for easy setup and operation.
  • Custom cut lengths and cycles can be input on the touch screen.
  • Unit requirements: Power requirements: 110 VAC 50-60Hz [220 VAC available upon request]
