CUT-TO-LENGTH FGW-1000 WITH HEAVY DUTY UNWIND, REWIND AND SLITTER

Requirements:

This application required feeding, cutting, slitting and rewinding heavy duty, multilayered material in roll form.

Materials:

 Mother Roll: roll of 3-layer film consisting of thick polyethylene with a polypropylene outer layer, an adhesive middle layer and a thin polyethylene inner layer.

  • Material thickness: 1mm-4mm
  • Roll diameter: likely 40” (1000mm), but could be 44” (1100mm)
  • Web width: 100mm – 950mm
  • Roll weight: 2000lbs. (max)
  • Core: 6” (150mm) or 3” (75mm) OD Cardboard

 

Rewind roll:

  • Roll diameter: 16” (400mm)
  • Web width: 100mm-900mm
  • Roll weight: 50kg (110 lbs.)
  • Core: 3” (75mm) OD Cardboard

 

Sheeting:

  • Web width: 100mm-900mm
  • Sheet length: 200mm-6500mm (85% of material<1500mm)

 

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a custom feeding, cutting, slitting and rewinding station for heavy duty, multilayered materials in a roll form.

  • The roll of material is loaded onto a heavy duty unwind with an Ultra Sonic Loop Sensor.
  • From the unwind, the material goes through a dancer accumulator with a dancer lift assist.
  • The lift assist makes feeding the material through the accumulator much easier.
  • Material then travels to the cutting station including a set of nip rollers and a 1000mm guillotine knife.
  • Nip rollers pull the material through the slitter and feed into the guillotine.
  • Material is then cut-to-length in precise measurements.
  • It then travels out of the exit chute to either a Dual Rewind with Differentiated Air Shafts or onto an angled table.
  • The unit has a color touch screen for easy setup and operation.
