Requirements:

This application required dispensing desiccant pouches in roll form.

Material: Roll of desiccant pouches.

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a pouch dispenser with an unwind assembly, mounted on an adjustable equipment stand.

  • The roll of material is placed on a motorized unwind.
  • From the unwind, the material goes under a dancer assembly.
  • A rising dancer arm feeds the material out.
  • From the unwind, the material is guided into traction belts.
  • The unit can then be primed and the material automatically self-feeds to the proper starting position.
  • An optic system built into the knife cartridge detects a seal between the pouches and signals the unit to cycle.
  • Once the material is indexed to the proper location, the knife cartridge cuts the material.
  • The material falls down an exit chute and past a product verification sensor.
  • The cycle can be triggered by a sensor or a dry contact from another piece of equipment.
  • The unit is PLC controlled with a color touch screen for easy setup and operation.
  • Units are fixed to a thick aluminum plate which is mounted to an adjustable equipment stand.
  • Caster wheels and leveling feet are provided for mobility and stability.
  • Unit requires 110vac and 2.75 – 6 bar [40-90 PSI] of clean/dry compressed air.
