AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a custom cut-to-length station with an unwind and dual punch assembly to precisely cut pieces of foil from a roll form.
- The material is loaded onto the unwind.
- The unwind is a cantilevered design for quick and easy loading.
- Unit is powered by an AC variable speed motor and drive.
- Drive motor contains a constant loop of material.
- A rocker switch allows the unit to change direction for easy setup and versatility.
- From the unwind, the material travels under a rising dancer arm.
- A no product sensor will automatically shut the unit down when no product is sensed.
- Material is pulled through the dual precision punch assembly.
- Punch assemblies are mounted on a rail system allowing for assemblies to adjust the spacing.
- They are pneumatically operated and can be mounted in any orientation.
- A set of precision ground urethane drive rollers pulls the material into the cut-to-length station.
- Pressure between the rollers can be manually adjusted.
- A toggle switch allows the operator to lift the idler roller for easy setup of a new web.

Requirements:
This custom sheeting system takes an extruded film, indexes and cuts the sheets to lengths in increments of up to six digits, and then feeds directly to an automated stacking station.
The extruded web first enters an accumulator which is equipped with a multitude of rollers and a dancer system to maintain proper web tension. Positioned directly after the accumulator is the FGW-1000 Cut-to-Length unit.
